Frequently asked questions:

How long will it take for us to get our video?

That depends on the type of video we are doing for you and the amount of work in line ahead of you. Generally speaking, Graduation videos take about a month to get them all done.

Wedding videos - allow at least a couple of weeks. Sometimes they are done sooner. Sometimes people want to have baby pictures with music at the beginning and don't have them all together by the wedding date. This slows things down, of course. During the school year it could take a number of months.

Video Transfers - allow at least a couple of weeks for them. This depends on whether or not you have all your film on just a couple reels or all little reels and if you want to add music, which we highly recommend. If we're doing pictures to video, it takes about 1 hour to layout 13 - 20 photos.

Training videos - allow anywhere from a few weeks to a number of months for storyboarding and planning. It all depends on how long your presentation is and how many edits are necessary.

Voice overs can be done same day in many cases, depending on the need for added background music.

Can we have our video put onto CD or DVD for long term storage?

Yes. You sure can, and we can do it for you. Remember that CD's cannot hold no where as much data, but they can be done either on multiple disks, or at lower resolution. This media can store them for up to a hundred years! DVD and CD copies for each disc are the same cost as videotape copies. We can make DVD's or VCD's for use in your DVD player.

Do you use digital cameras?

Yes we do! We record onto MiniDV which has about 530 horizontal lines of resolution. Normal format is 4:3 but the rising in popularity 16:9 format is available too upon request.

Do you move around a lot during wedding ceremonies or use lights?

Once the wedding ceremony begins, the most formal and important moment of your life is about to occur, and far be it from me to be distracting your guests with camera equipment! The same goes for lights! We are as unintrusive as a still photographer. Beforehand, and afterward, we take time to capture shots of the surroundings and special floral displays and such, to enhance the beauty of the your wedding video.

Do you add music to videos and do baby pictures?

Baby pictures, recaps of the highlights of the day, other special effects are available as desired. We can do just about whatever you can imagine, including letters on solid or video backgrounds or blends of the two or even up to ten layers of video at once!

Do you have non-linear capabilities?

Sure do, and it makes your videos look great! Most non-linear editing systems are most useful for high impact, short clips. We can produce any such clips with mulitple layers of video and text blended in any way imaginable.

What kind of attire do you wear?

For formal events, we dress formally. That usually means a nice, clean shirt and tie; suitcoat-weather permitting. If it's not a formal event such as a wedding, we dress more casually.
